In technical terms, a PSD mockup is a digital template created using Adobe Photoshop that represents how a product will look in its final form. It is essentially a layered PSD file that uses Smart Objects and other Photoshop features to create a photorealistic representation of the product.

For our mockups, we use 3D to create photorealistic renders of a product, then we assemble many layers into a PSD file to enable you to insert your label and choose the bottle and cap type/color/reflection etc... The goal is to obtain a graphic that looks like a studio-photographed image without going through the trouble of product photography.

Technically, we can create mockups for practically any product. The problem is the production cost: To create one (1) Mockup product like any of the ones listed for sale on our site, the production cost is a 4 figures number in terms of USDs and around 100 hours in terms of labor. That's why it is hard for us or any other creator to justify the upfront investment to create Mockups for products that aren't popular and/or too niche, and we definitely can't invest into creating a mockup only to sell 1 copy to you.

We can't simply just create any Mockup that's been asked of us. But we're open to hear our customers and cater to their needs: If enough people ask for a certain Mockup to be created, there is a high chance that we will do it!

No, our Mockups are 100% handmade using a state of the art 3D software, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator. They took us hundreds of man hours to create using our 10+ years experience in the packaging design & product 3D rendering fields.

As of the date of writing (Aug 2024), AI cannot create PSD Mockups. Besides, It would be very presumptuous of us & ethically wrong to try to sell people stuff that they themselves can create using AI. Honestly we don't think that anyone should buy any digital asset that's been created using AI.

Free mockups can be a helpful starting point, but in almost all cases, their limitations start to show quickly: lower quality, inaccurate packaging dimensions, fewer features, no documentation and not so realistic look.
